Nowadays Twitter is in trend, In the last some year twitter has exponential growth for marketing and brand building. More bloggers are using twitter to marketing their blog and sharing the post. If you visit any blog, it is very rare where you didn’t find twitter button. As per the blogger point of view, twitter button is necessary for every blog.
Today I’ll show you how you can add Retweet button in your all WordPress blog posts, so your reader can retweet your post and build effective branding with a single click.
You can add this retweet button by two ways in your blog.
First, you can use one plugin called “Tweetmeme”, and after required settings you will get the button in your blog.
To install this plugin you can follow the instruction from “How to configure WordPress plugin?” or you can upload the plugin into “/wp-content/plugins/” directory and then activate it from WordPress Admin panel.
After activating the plugin visit the setting page for the plugin.
You need to change the RT @tweetmeme with your tweeter username which is default to RT @yourusername. In my case, it would be RT @gutann_blog.
By using this plugin you can also choose the location of Retweet button like the Top left corner, Top right corner, and so on.
And the second way is to modify the blog post template code in your theme template file with respect to your choosing location in the page.
You can write the below code in your template file to implement the retweet button on your blog.
Retweet button code for Large button:
Tweetmeme_source = ‘gutann_blog’;
Retweet button code for Compact button:
tweetmeme_style = “compact”;
tweetmeme_source = ‘gutann_blog’;
When you implement the above code in your blog, always remember to change “gutann_blog” with your tweeter username.
Don’t forget to subscribe to GUTANN email newsletter to keep updating yourself with such posts in future.
